A REVIEW PAPER ON
EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE USING GROUPS
Developed Under
the Purview of the AGPA Science to Service Task Force
DEADLINE FOR
SUBMISSION: OCTOBER 1, 2010
AGPA’s Science to Service Task Force announces a
Request For Proposals (RFP) that involves assembling a review paper
on evidence-based practice using groups.
We are seeking a summary and integration of the broad
and diverse literature that has already addressed this topic. Such
a paper will be extremely useful to AGPA in marketing our product,
documenting our achievements to other health professionals, provider
systems (private and public), and legislators, and approaching
potential donors and funders.
The content for such a review should build upon the
work of others. It should provide a historical perspective, along
with a set of working definitions for evidence-based practice. It
should identify major reviews of the group literature that have
touched upon its effectiveness with different disorders (e.g.,
anxiety disorders, affective disorders, various personality
disorders), populations (e.g., children, adolescents, adults), and
settings (e.g., inpatient, day hospital, outpatient). In addition,
it should include an assessment of evidence-based groups for the
treatment of trauma.
An honorarium of $2,000 is being offered for the
completion of this review paper.
Proposals are to be sent to the attention of the AGPA
Science to Service Task Force via email to
dfeirman@agpa.org by October 1, 2010. Only
electronic submissions will be accepted. Receipt of the proposal
will be acknowledged within 72 hours; a decision for awarding of the
project is anticipated by December 1, 2010. If your proposal is
accepted, you will have approximately three (3) months to complete
the project. Fifty percent of the honorarium will be granted upon
acceptance of the proposal. The balance will be awarded upon
acceptance of the submitted paper. |
