Effective Leadership:  Choices and Decision-Making

This six-hour workshop will allow participants to explore the assumptions underlying leadership and achievement as it is related to motivating individuals and teams. Through the use of a discover-through-inquiry process, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on what is important in effectively managing and motivating people in organizational settings. Attention will also be given to clarifying constructive strategies for supporting and encouraging the success of work groups. This workshop is designed for leaders and potential leaders within AGPA, as well as for those who work within, or consult to, other organizations.

Learning Objectives:

The attendee will be able to:

1. Summarize the impact of positive psychology on individual and team motivation

2. Identify and develop achievement values

3. Question the assumptions participants make about motivating individuals and teams
