Men Fearing Men: Developing Male Intimacy

This interactive course will assist clinicians to understand and help men work through fears associated with intimacy. Fears such as abandonment, sexuality, engulfment, shame and exposure will be addressed and demonstrated during the working through process.

Learning Objectives:

The attendee will be able to:

1. Evaluate how the fear of intimacy in males is acted out.

2. Develop a strategy to work through these intimacy fears.

3. Describe the personality structure and how narcissistic injury inhibits closeness with males
