Private Practitioners will discuss their transition to group facilitators in school settings, working with teachers, counselors, and students K-12th grade.  School-based applications of modern group concepts will be described, discussed and experienced:  contracting, bridging, immediacy, joining, progressive communication, induced feelings, symbolic communication, aggression and parallel process.

Learning Objectives:

The attendee will be able to:

1. Describe how to detect and effectively respond to early resistances in groups with children and adults in school settings

2. Identify feelings induced while leading groups with children and adults in school settings.

3. Utilize applications of modern group process to respond effectively to expressions of aggression in working with groups of children or adults in school settings.
