Group treatment is a significant mode of intervention in response to a community atrocity.  This workshop will address acute therapeutic group methods as well as short and long term support groups for survivors, witnesses and families of victims.  A demonstration group and sharing of experiences will be utilized.

The attendee will be able to:

1. Cite acute therapeutic group methods for disaster

2. Utilize short-term group interventions for victims and families of mass violence.

3. Identify long-term group techniques for trauma survivors
