Faculty, Boston
Institute for Psychotherapy, Inc., Boston, MA
Diverse theoretical
models all suggest that therapeutic action should be aimed at
fostering the authentic engagement of members with themselves, one
another and the therapist. Immediacy and vitality reflect the
vividness of her and now experience, with its sense of risk,
exposure, discovery, and genuine affect. This disengagement as it
contributes to the group's process and development.
