Therapist Self-Disclosure

Open to participant with more than ten years of group psychotherapy

experience

 

Three different methods will be presented in demonstration groups, illustrating different responses by the therapist to issues involving self-disclosure. These methods are the traditional neutral screen, the interpersonal approach, and the existential spontaneous approach.

Learning Objectives:

The attendee will be able to:

1. Identify the effect of each method on group process.

2. Choose an approach compatible to his/her personality.

3. Learn about the subtle non verbal exposures.
