Bridging
the Gap: Incorporating Psychodramatic Procedures in Traditional
Group Therapies

Traditional group
therapies can benefit from incorporating selected action methods (psychodramatic)
procedures. The workshop will demonstrate a few, selected enactment
techniques that can be easily used by therapists who are favorably
disposed toward using role playing. The underlying theoretical
rationale and psychological process involved will be discussed.

The attendee will
be able to:
1. Apply action
methods in their group psychotherapy practice.
2. Contrast some
of their current use of role playing with the new information.
3. Select action
methods procured and match them with the psychological needs of the
group members.
