How to
Work with Different Personality Adaptations in Group
Chair:
Vann S. Joines,
Ph.D., CGP,
President and Director, Southeast
Institute for
Group and Family Therapy, North Carolina
This workshop will
include theory and experiential work to demonstrate how to use
Redecision Therapy to work with six core personality adaptations in
groups: Schizoid, Paranoid, Antisocial, Passive-Aggressive,
Obsessive-Compulsive, and Histrionic. By knowing the therapeutic
"doors" to each adaptation, the therapist can quickly establish
rapport, target interventions to the area that will have the
greatest impact for change, and avoid becoming stuck in the client's
defenses.
