Transpersonal Group Psychotherapy

Chair:

John Frederick Hiatt, M.D., Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, UCSF School of Medicine, San Francisco, California

Transpersonal Psychiatry incorporates the spiritual dimension of the person in its approach.  A generic model of spirituality and its relation to traditional psychotherapy will be presented.  An experiential group and discussion of attendees’ experiences will demonstrate the method. We will discuss how this enhances and differs from traditional group psychotherapy.
