The Art
of Resilience

This presentation
will provide an overview of the research in the areas of resilience,
strength and optimism-both from the standpoint of repairing damage
and also for helping people live more fulfilling lives. In this
workshop, you will learn and experience the skills, resources and
attitude needed to foster our capacity to bounce back from hard and
uncertain times.

Objectives:
The attendee will
be able to:
1. Describe an
overview of the theoretical research being done on resilience and
optimism.
2. Distinguish
between healthy and destructive aspects of vulnerability.
3. Analyze the
theory and practice of fostering resilience in a group setting.
4. List the
manifestations of the methods used to foster resilience, enhance
talents and
motivate optimism
in the face of adversity.
