Using Group Techniques to Manage Traumatic Situations

This workshop will provide training in the use of short and long-term groups to help those exposed to traumatic events manage their response to those events in a constructive way.  It will also include ways to prepare people who are likely to be exposed to trauma.

Learning Objectives:

The attendee will be able to:

1. Develop short and long-term groups to help people exposed to a traumatic event.

2. Identify those who may need assistance.

3. Understand how to avoid causing harm while trying to help.
