Avowing our desire
and aggression as group leaders is a difficult task. This workshop
will focus on the therapist's transformation of these and other
emotions into powerful interventions that deepen experience. After
providing a theoretical background, we will utilize in vivo group
process as an opportunity for learning.
Learning
Objectives:
The attendee will
be able to:
1. Explain the
leader's crucial role in integrating forbidden affects into the
group.
2. Describe the
intersubjective processes that unfold over the course of a group
session.
3. Distinguish
between productive and unproductive expressions of forbidden
affects.
