Mindfulness-Based Structured Group: An Experiential Didactic and Research-Based Session

Mindfulness-based interventions can be essential tools for groups, addressing stress, depression, anxiety, somaticization, and management of physical symptoms. This workshop includes an exploration of mindfulness, participation in mindfulness-based activities, the incorporation of mindfulness practice in daily living, use of mindfulness in structured group settings, and research supporting mindfulness interventions.

 

Learning Objectives:

The attendee will be able to:

1. Define mindfulness and mindfulness-based interventions.
2. Describe interventions applicable to structured group interventions.
3. Explain how mindfulness-based interventions can be essential tools in stress, anxiety, and depression management.
4. Describe how to integrate mindfulness into daily life.
5. Summarize research related to mindfulness-based group interventions.
