Students often
find themselves losing the inspiration that motivated their
training. A psychodynamic group provides space where human values
are respected, frustrations aired, and purpose explored. This
workshop contrasts experiential groups with trainees to patient and
support groups, explores the facilitator's role, and addresses the
relationship to the training Institution.
Learning
Objectives:
The attendee will
be able to:
1. Differentiate the subtle but
essential differences in facilitating experiential groups with
trainees to those with patient populations or peer experiential
groups.
2. Discuss the leader's unique role as facilitator as opposed to
therapist.
3. Distinguish the various complexities of the relationship between
the facilitator and the training Institution.
