RoundTable Theatre: The
Promise of Group Improvisation

Participants will learn the theory and
practice of RoundTable Theatre (RTT), an improvisational modality,
in establishing the value of group work for individual improvement
and expansion and the development of productive interdependence. The
"rules" of improv, "Accept all offers" and "Make your partner look
good" facilitate these processes.

Learning
Objectives:
The attendee will
be able to:
1. Identify the ways in which the fun and creativity of group improv
helps clients trust themselves and each other enough to take risks
in trying out new thoughts, emotions and behaviors.
2. Demonstrate how group members can help each other widen their
sense of who they are by improvising additional roles/identities.
3. Demonstrate how improv can improve communication skills among
group members.
4. Utilize several techniques to teach clients how to empower
themselves to be individuals and group members simultaneously.
