Challenging and Clarifying: Art and Action Methods in Group
Therapy Training

We teach about
transferential processes, and we tell our students that the self is
constructed in the interpersonal field, but how well do we prepare
them for the actual process of the encounter? This workshop will
provide art and action methods techniques for enlarging the
students’ self-awareness and interactive skills in the interpersonal
matrix.

The attendee will
be able to:
1. Describe the
use of art and action methods strategies for enlarging
self-awareness and fluidity within the interpersonal field.
2. Apply a visual-sociometric
tool for identifying interpersonal choices within the group matrix.
3. Utilize a
selection of art and action methods in teaching group therapy
leadership skills.
