experience.

The
Strengthened Sense of Self (SOS) group model responds to the demand
for systematic and accountable services in schools and other
settings. This workshop will provide an introduction to a model that
is solution-focused, tapping into kids' natural ability to change.
The presentation will be both didactic and demonstration.

Objectives:
The attendee will
be able to:
1. Describe the component parts of the SOS group
model.
2. Identify the steps towards a goal in the solution-focused
approach.
3. Relate essential group leadership skills to leading
solution-focused groups.
4. Demonstrate the integration of psycho-educational content and
solution-focused dialogue.
5. Utilize member goals to evaluate group effectiveness.
