The Mind
and Mindfulness: The Work of Healing Trauma
Chair:
Gaea Logan,
M.A., LPC, Adjunct Professor, St. Edwards University, Austin,
Texas
What heals
catastrophic trauma? Throughout human history prayer, meditation,
poetry, and compassion have been curative processes: focusing
awareness in the moment, offering language and metaphor in naming
experience, providing the possibility of connection, healing and
awakening. This workshop will explore how we create sacred space to
do the work of healing in a group context.
