Turning Fantasy into Reality: The Magic of Role Playing

 

Open to participants with less than four years of group psychotherapy experience.

The workshop will demonstrate ways of exploring clients' difficulties using imagined, simulated, reality. Clinical role playing and the principle of concretization offer unique opportunities for turning 'surrealism' into a way of addressing painful realities. The workshop combines didactic and experiential presentations with the active involvement of the participants

Learning Objectives:

The attendee will be able to:

1. Apply the principle of concretization in devising role playing interventions.

2. Choose which intervention will be the most engaging for the group.

3. Design important situation to be role played.
