Thriving Private Practice Psychotherapy Groups
Open to
participants with less than four years of group psychotherapy
experience.

This
interactional workshop provides participants with knowledge crucial
to creating thriving private practice psychotherapy groups. We will
extrapolate as needed to other populations, settings, and
theoretical modalities. Topics include preparing the patient,
selection, composition, third-party considerations, problem
patients, recordkeeping, co-therapy, the contract (agreement),
boundaries, and fee considerations.

The attendee will
be able to:
1. Establish effective group psychotherapy fee arrangements;
2. Prepare a complete group psychotherapy contract (agreement);
3. Recognize and attend to boundary issues;
4. Sharpen his/her skills in preparing patients for group
psychotherapy.
