Increasing Aliveness and Countertransference Exploration in Co-Led Psychotherapy Groups

 

Open to participants with less than four years of group psychotherapy experience.

We will explore how co-led groups can enliven and inform the process of group therapy, understand countertransference reactions, and apply Modern Analytic techniques to the group process. We will explore how to create cohesive and lasting co-leading relationships.  We will use a mix of didactic and experiential teaching modalities.

Learning Objectives:

The attendee will be able to:
1.  Create and maintain an effective co-therapy relationship.
2.  Identify and analyze countertransference in a co-led therapy group.
3.  Differentiate and distinguish between subjective and objective countertransference.
4.  Utilize the Modern Analytic technique of bridging.
