LivingDancing-LivingMusic: A Creative Arts Approach to Group Therapy

LivingDance-LivingMusic invites group members to learn creative
body-based ways of connecting that foster self-awareness and the
freedom to relate authentically to others. Participants will learn
the basic assumptions of LivingDance-LivingMusic, embody its main
concepts, and discuss the relationships between dance movement and
psychological constructs. Case studies will support the main
concepts regarding theory and practice. No dance experience or
talent is required.

Objectives:
The attendee will
be able to:
1. Describe dance
movement skills that relate to psychological constructs.
2. Discuss the
basic assumptions of dance/movement therapy and those of
LivingDance-LivingMusic.
3. Compare verbal
empathy with movement empathy.
