Inclusion of Couples Work in Group Therapy to Enhance Harmony in Intimate Relationships

Applying techniques of Imago Relationship Therapy to group therapy will be shown as effective in creating harmony and acceptance of diversity in the group and in couples.  A new treatment paradigm utilizing group therapy for each of the partners as an adjunct to couples work will be discussed and demonstrated.

Learning Objectives:

The attendee will be able to:
1.  Cite three rules for emotional safety in relationships.
2.  Specify two curative factors of group therapy that ameliorate relationships outside the group.
3.  Describe two ways the group therapist can constructively address projective gridlocks.
