The shame,
isolation, and alexthymia common among people with eating disorders
can be powerfully addressed in groups. Interactions related to
eating and the body can be used to identify and counteract these
characteristic problems. This workshop will provide participants
with skills to develop and successfully lead ED groups.

The attendee will
be able to:
1. Identify group interactions related to common
eating disorder symptoms.
2. Detect his/her own eating and body concerns and their role in the
therapeutic process.
3. Utilize this knowledge in clinical decision-making to foster
healing in ED groups.
