Body-Oriented Psychotherapy in Group

Chair:

Barbara Davis, M.S.S.W., LCSW, CGP, Private Practice, Austin, Texas

Bioenergetic analysis brings psychodynamic thinking into the realm of the body. When used in group treatment this approach helps deepen the group process by making emotional experience more accessible and by providing safe means for both discharge and containment. We will discuss the development and use of theory, in addition to experiencing the use of body orientation in group therapy.  Wear comfortable clothes.
