Healthy Aging

 

Presenter:        

Lorelei Joy Goldman, M.A., Training Director, Psychodrama Training Institute of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois

 

Participants will have the opportunity to experience staged readings from the book, "Keeping the Beat" by Senior Adult Actors as well as engaging in psychodrama activities to increase empathy and interpersonal relationships There will be a panel discussion which will look at self worth, celebrating community and decreasing stereotypes of those in the second half of life.

 

Learning Objectives:

The attendee will be able to:

1. Identify myths of aging.

2. Prepare for their own development in the second stage of life.

3. Practice participation in Action Techniques, (psychodrama) toward a shift in perceptions about themselves and others.

4. Impact new insight and knowledge.
