Participants
will learn how to incorporate therapeutic interventions from the
emerging interdisciplinary field of interpersonal neurobiology into
group therapy. This workshop has been designed to illustrate how an
existing, long term psychotherapy group
can be
enhanced by adding a component of psychoeducation and an
experiential approach to promote changes in neural circuitry leading
toward personal transformation.

Objectives:
The attendee will
be able to:
1. Design a
therapeutic group based on an interpersonal neurobiology approach.
2. Identify
interventions utilized to enhance a change in neural circuitry.
3. Utilize
psychoeducation in therapy groups
to increase
knowledge of the process of mindful awareness and affect regulation.
4. Understand an
approach to a non-victim stance with clients who are stuck due to
Complex PTSD.
