participants with more than ten years of group psychotherapy
experience
This workshop
will demonstrate how Couples Group therapy can build, reinforce,
repair and strengthen the foundation of the interaction between
couples leading to a lasting loving and more fulfilling
relationship. Through use of a demonstration couples
group,
fish bowl technique, issues related to communication, intimacy,
sharing, and empathy will be addressed.

Learning Objectives:
The attendee will
be able to:
1. Identify those couples that need
conjoint couple therapy and those which will be better served by
couple’s group therapy.
2. Describe the major issues related to
communication difficulties in couple.
3. Evaluate and prepare couples for
couples group.
4. Experience empathic collaborative relating in
groups.
5. Identify different aspects of the
co-leader relationship.
