This
workshop is designed to offer insights into the world of
journal publishing from the perspective of current and recent
editors of group therapy journals (IJGP, Group, Journal of
Specialists in Group Work, Group Dynamics, Group Analysis,
Therapeutic Communities) In a semi-structured format, editors
will be invited to explore their dynamic relations to a variety of
constituents. Challenges (such as the "difficult" author),
transference-countertransference dynamics (such as saying "I'm sorry
to inform you that...") developmental issues, and gratifications
(e.g. mentoring the would-be author) will be shared.
