Building Communities for Kids: Facilitating Process in Children’s Therapy Groups

This experiential workshop will demonstrate how to introduce a group process focus into work with children. Participants will engage with these concepts from the perspective of group leader as well as child participant. This dual experiential approach will enrich the clinician’s work in child group therapy.

Learning Objectives:

The attendee will be able to:

1. Describe the ways that group process manifests in children’s groups.

2. State an awareness of the power of process work with children.

3. Plan groups for children with an increased process focus.
