Keeping it Real: Transforming Theory into Technique in Group

This workshop illuminates the leader's role in utilizing theory to formulate active interventions that promote emotional engagement between group members.  Particular attention will be paid to how therapists can use themselves to create dynamic group experience.

Learning Objectives:

The attendee will be able to:

1. Create new interventions based on their own theoretical approach to group.

2. Identify their own internal group theory.

3. Distinguish between the current major theoretical approaches to group.
