Group Therapy
in the 21st Century: Group Therapy at Warp Speed

The 21st
century is presenting new and exciting challenges for group therapy
in Day Treatment or intensive outpatient settings over a two to four
week period. The treatment is fast paced and challenging. I focus on
a specific integrative approach to treatment and specific
therapeutic techniques are outlined.

Objectives:
The attendees will be able to:
1. Identify how
group therapy differs from group programming and how the former
requires unique changes in method when adapting to short term
dynamic treatment.
2. Identify
specific note taking methods to focus on process/ dynamic issues in
these groups.
3. Identify
several strategies and interventions that will provide the clinician
with best practices for intervening in short term dynamic groups.
4. Learn how to
cope with the fast paced group treatment that has become part of our
21st century working environment.
