Presidential Plenary Address

Featured Speaker: Jeffrey L. Kleinberg, Ph.D., CGP, FAGPA

We’ve all been on a journey since 9/11 that few of us could have predicted.  AGPA, like most of our professional lives, has been transformed.  We have been challenged to do extensive community and international outreach, while maintaining our practices in a difficult marketplace, presenting conferences with fewer resources, training students who struggle financially, and conducting research with less money.  It’s time to take stock and examine what we have learned, the price we have paid, the contributions of which we can be proud, and consider how all of this knowledge can help us network and navigate through uncertainty.

Jeffrey Kleinberg, PhD, CGP, FAGPA, is the former President of the Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society, is a Training Analyst and Senior Supervisor at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, and has been Editor of GROUP and a Dean and Professor at LaGuardia Community College of the City University of New York. Currently, he has a private practice in New York City.
