2019 Awards Presented at AGPA Connect in Los Angeles

Celebrate the following 2019 award recipients who are making a difference:

The Alonso Award for Excellence in Psychodynamic Group Therapy was given to Bonnie Buchele, PhD, ABPP, CGP, DLFAGPA for her editorship of the special issue of Psychoanalytic Inquiry "Today's Bridge Between Psychoanalysis and the Group World."

Teen Line of Los Angeles, CA received the Aaron Stein Memorial Award for their innovative and creative use of group techniques.

Richard Beck, LCSW, BCD, CGP, FAGPA received the Social Responsibility Award for his exceptional acts of service that benefit the community at large.

The International Board for Certification of Group Psychotherapy presented the Harold S. Bernard Group Psychotherapy Training Award to Judith Coché, PhD, ABPP, CGP, LFAGPA for her significant contributions to the training and supervision of group psychotherapists throughout her career.

Almost 200 individuals received scholarships to attend the meeting, supported through endowed scholarship funds and private donations.

The Group Works for Communities Raffle Winners are...

Robert Bennett of Carmichael, CA will be spending 6 nights in Condo in Kauai, HI with $500 towards his travel expenses.
Toni Fallon of Atlanta, GA will be traveling with two round-trip domestics tickets on Delta Airlines.
Karen Rosenberg of Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ will be on the road with her 50,000 Marriott Rewards Points.
Eugene Giannini of Washington D.C. will be traveling to a one-week timeshare in Orlando, FL.
